Onam Agricultural Festival

Mavelikara Thamarakulam Grama Panchayat has been proudly organizing the Onam Agricultural Festival in conjunction with the annual Onam celebrations. Designed as a cornerstone project, this unique festival aims to nurture, showcase, and advance the rich agrarian culture of our village. It stands out as a landmark event uniting agriculture, art, culture, and community education under one umbrella.

2023
August 22, 23 & 24 (3 Days)
An exceptionally well-organized premiere held at the historic Nediyanikkal Devi Temple Grounds.
2024
September 9 to 13 (5 Days)
Expanded to a five-day grand fair featuring comprehensive agricultural marketing stalls and exhibitions.
2025
August 29 to Sept 3 (6 Days)
Our biggest edition yet! Spanning six full days of active trading, amusement parks, and massive expos.

Central to the festival's mission is the official honoring of outstanding local farmers. Under the banner of "My Thamarakulam, Beautiful Thamarakulam", the local body recognizes those driving our agrarian prosperity forward.

🤝 Direct Market Access Eliminates exploitative middlemen completely, allowing local farmers to sell directly to consumers at a mutually fair price.
🥛 80% Dairy Subsidies Eligible dairy farmers can purchase modern infrastructure—including automated milking machines—at a major 80% government subsidy.
🏆 District-Wide Milestone Driven by trade initiatives, Thamarakulam was officially designated as the CDS with the highest commercial turnover in the entire district for the years 2024-2025.
