History of Grama Panchayat

Geography and Resources The panchayat is located in the southeastern part of the Onattukara region, which is part of Central Travancore. This fertile land is full of dry land rich in coconut, flour, kamuk and cashew, paddy fields, streams and water bodies. Most of this village, which is a red sandstone-rich area, is surrounded by paddy fields. The eastern areas are high and filled with hard red sandstone. The central part is a less hard red sandstone-rich area with a slope towards the west. The western end is a very low-lying area with a slope towards the west and filled with red sandstone. 15% of the land area of ​​the eastern region is laterite plateau.
